New baseball team at Opelweg

OPELWEG Primary School’s baseball team was formed in April by Mr Lesiba Ramoroko, who is coaching teams at different schools.

Although the new team has not yet received a new baseball kit, the players are very anxious and eager to learn the new sport which they have never played before. For practice, the new team has played a couple of games against different schools in the area over the past three weeks.

On Saturday, April 30, they played against the more experienced Palmridge team which has been playing since 2013 and who is playing in a major league.
