I saw the article in the Alberton RECORD regarding the informal settlement in Second Avenue, Alberton North, and I must say the stink is revolting.
I live very close to this settlement and it is not acceptable and it is also true that nothing gets done about it. Why do we have to live with this? It is not healthy.
There is a crèche with children and all of us around the area have to smell and inhale these unhealthy germs. You hear fights, disorderly behaviour until what time in the mornings. Weekends are the worst.
These people should be removed immediately. They are a danger to children and the society. You don’t feel safe because anything can happen. We should not be scared to come out our front doors.
