CENTRAL Gauteng Athletics will have one of the strongest cross-country teams who will compete at the national championships.
The province has only a few leagues left and all the athletes’ efforts are now posed at the provincial championships which will be held on August 13, at the Boksburg Stadium.
This is the qualifying criteria for athletes to secure a place in the provincial team for the South Africa championship in George. They will need to participate in at least four provincial leagues plus the championships to up their chances of being selected.
It is crunch time for athletes and the season is about to heat up.
