PLEASE help me find a truck driver who knocked me down and just kept on driving.
On Monday, July 4, between 06:30 and 07:00, I was walking on the sidewalk along Ringroad East, close to the KFC, when a big flatbed cargo truck, carrying a massive wheel (sticking out on both sides of the truck), knocked me down as he was turning, and just kept driving.
I saw that the wheel was not even strapped down properly, it was quite loose on the truck, which is very dangerous.
My shoulder was very badly hurt and I had to be treated at the Netcare Union Hospital.
The frame of the truck was blue, but unfortunately, I didn’t get its licence plate number.
If anyone witnessed the incident, and perhaps got the license plate number, could you please contact me on 079 604 6490 or 011 999 2686.
Douw van Blommenstein.
