FIGURES Models Finesse South Africa sent 44 of their models to New York recently.

Figures were the proud facilitators and chaperones to 44 youngsters from all over South Africa who recently attended the International Model and Talent Convention – fondly known as the IMTA to those in the industry. The convention took place at the Hilton Hotel in Midtown New York between July 23 and 30, coinciding with the IMTA’s 30th birthday.

Among the contestants who took part there was one singer, four actors, one dancer, and the rest of the group was made up of models. The competitions comprised of their respective categories and contestants were exposed to over 200 international talent agents. The team competition theme for 2016 was Out of Africa, which was very appropriate for the South African team and the theme was definitely close to their hearts.

“This is truly an experience of a lifetime as these contestants are afforded international exposure to a large number of agents in such a short period of time. Fun was had by all the contestants who attended but , more importantly, valuable friendships and contacts were formed which will hopefully last a lifetime,” said Emma Griffin, Figures representative.
