Horseriders from Alberton trot to success
Penbritte Equestrian Centre riders from Alberton have done very well in equestrian sport, all being in the top 10 national rankings.
RIDERS from Penbritte Equestrian Centre have done very well in equestrian sport.
Girls from Waterstone College, Mikaela Martin, Courtney Sequeira and Leigh-ann Hays, received their South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) Sedibeng colours, and also their SANESA Gauteng colours for their school.
Mikaela received two second places, a seventh and 11th, Courtney took a fifth and Leigh-ann a fourth and a seventh.
All three these girls are also in the top 10 national rankings in their jumping height categories.
Twin sisters, Ziska and Salome Nel, from Laerskool Randhart, made the SANESA Gauteng team by winning the Gauteng finals.
Salome also won the SA championships and derby. Ziska and Salome both came first in the SANESA Gauteng finals in their height categories.
Miescha Hammond qualified for the SANESA Gauteng team and will be competing in the national team competition, in October. Miescha also won the victrix ludorum at the SA Championships in July, this year.
