Germiston Wheelers give back

800 kg of cat and dog food was donated to Alberton SPCA.

AS part of their commitment to give back to the community, Germiston Wheelers Cycle Club recently donated 800kg of dog and cat food to the Alberton SPCA.

The club has donated food and blankets every year (to the SPCA in Germiston) and decide that the Alberton branch deserves to be supported as many of the members live in the Alberton area.

The club caters for all age groups, from youth right through to grandmasters. They have club rides every weekend for distances from 60Km up to 150Km.

For more information about riding with them, please visit:

The club will also be supporting Team NSPCA at the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge, as they did last year.

To assist them in raising funds for all animals, they have setup two options to donate:

• Send 947-36 by SMS to 38018 – the cost is R25 per SMS (network charges excluded);

• Donate any amount into the Different.org account that has been setup by Team NSPCA – https://different.org/projects/nspca/nspca-947-challenge/gerald_martin/
