Golden boys getting smarter
Sponsorship and donations will also be welcome by the team.
GOLDEN Boys Football Club started by husband and wife, Glen and Samantha Jonkers in April is slowly reaching higher standards. The couple started the team with under 11 boys from the area and now have a senior team as well.
After two months of forming the team, the couple bought their first soccer kit with their own funds without sponsorships. “We are very proud of our boys. They are golden boys as they have been named. I spoke to my wife about saving money for tracksuits and my prayers were answered. We have half the required number of tracksuits and with God’s mercy, we will strive to see that every player has one,” said Glen.
Sponsorship and donations will also be welcomed by the team. They are currently doing very well and will be playing in the league next year. Glen can be contacted on 072 473 4163.
