JOBURG SOUTH: Teams are being selected for the Olympics in Rio for 2016, but local paddling clubs are investing time and effort into the youth and future Olympians.
Sprints are the Olympic discipline and the core of canoeing. Training races have been organized at Wemmer Pan by the Johannesburg Canoe Club’s coach Martin van den Bergh, an internationally recognized sprinter to ensure that the competitive spirit and practice in the short fast races is available to the young sprinters of tomorrow.
