Can anyone tell us why the dustbins in Alberton have not been collected?
Our collection day is scheduled for Monday and it is now four days later and they are still standing full.

The RECORD received the following comment from EMM:
Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s Alberton Waste Management Services Depot experienced non-rendering of services from Monday, 3 October 2016 until Wednesday, 5 October 2016.
The matter has been resolved and workers resumed their work as from Thursday morning, 6 October 2016.
The depot has put a contingency plant in place in order to address the waste backlog.
The depot commits that all refuse will be collected by the end of this weekend.
