It’s time for the Alberton Day Music Festival.
The festival takes place over the first weekend of November, and as always, is expected to be a fun-filled experience for all.
The party starter highlights on Friday, November 4, include the Klipdrift Ornesto, “The Search” finalists performing live on stage with a digital CD launch of the Top 5 Finalists, local DJ, Vin Grooven, will entertain the crowds, followed by LCNVL and then Euphonic will close the night off.
Other acts will include bands such as Kinky Robot, The Leon Shaw Syndicate, Pieter Albert Jordaan and DJ Lance.
Saturday’s theme is “Afrikaans and English”, a fun-filled day for the entire family, with the Alberton Mardi Gras back in full swing this year with flea market stalls, exhibitors, food stalls, a fully fledged theme park with rides for young and old and exciting games for all, along with pony rides for the children with an SAPS dog show that will entertain and educate all the children. Skydivers will be landing on the Saturday and Sunday too.

More entertainment includes a strong man competition and also great prizes to be won including a mid-week holiday for two at the ATKV Buffelspoort resort.
The performing artists for Saturday include The Flooze from ‘7de Laan’, Juanita du Plessis, Ghapi, Hans Drommedaris, Rea le Roux, Gerald Panaino, Kurt Darren, Theuns Jordaan, Dedy Theory, Prime Circle and Leven.
Sunday will bring the festival to an end with an ox braai and a laid-back afternoon with entertainment by a leading South African band.
Businesses, individuals, churches, schools and all interested parties are encouraged to become part of this exciting weekend event.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local SPCA and various other charities.
