Gauteng colours for karateka

JKA South students receive provincial colours.

STUDENTS of the JKA South Bassonia were awarded their South Africa JKA karateka colours earlier this year.

The following were all awarded their Gauteng colours: Brittany Shepstone, Dylyn Shepstone, Jesse Shepstone, Caydan Frank, Jody Frank, Christopher Ho, Dominic Immelman, Leah Immelman, Ethan du Toit, Luke du Toit, Josh du Toit, Gert Aucamp, Graeme Bennett, Jamie-Lee Kallman, Jason van Geelen, Johann Rossouw, Marisa Rossouw, Josh Marais, Karyn Smith, Keando Cunha, Leon de Villiers, Luka Gaspar, Mia Gaspar, Mateus Rabim, Ridwaan Khan, Troy Joseph and Tyron Jordan.

In addition to representing Gauteng at the SA JKA national championship, Brittany Shepstone, Dylyn Shepstone, Ethan du Toit, Josh du Toit, Graeme Bennett, Jamie-Lee Kallman, Karyn Smith, Leah Immelman, Leon de Villiers, Marisa Rossouw and Mia Gaspar were awarded their South African JKA National Colours.

JKA South Bassonia classes are held from 17:30 to 19:30 on Mondays to Thursdays, under the watchful eyes of senior instructors Bruce Smith (7th Dan), Gert Aucamp (6th Dan) and Karyn Smith (5th Dan). For more information, call Karyn on 082 579 0890 or visit their website on www.jkasouth.co.za.
