Resident upset over shooting of birds and dogs

Aside from the poor animals, what if this person shoots while our kids are playing outside and they get hit by one of these pellets?

ON Sunday, January 15, we found a wounded little dove with clear indications that it had been shot with a pellet gun or equivalent.

Our children were traumatised by seeing this poor little thing suffering like that. We communicated with our local CPF group and one of the neighbours in our street said that their dog had been shot a while ago and had to be put down.

Aside from the poor animals, what if this person shoots while our children are playing outside and they get hit by one of these pellets? This can cause serious injury.

We stay in Eike Avenue, Generaal Albertspark, and this is becoming a serious problem for us.

The RECORD contacted the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department as well as the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality for clarity on what the bylaws state and what can be done. Neither of them gave comment.
