A prelude to love

Dancing, laughing and delicious food made this weekend one to remember.

CASA Da Madeira celebrated Valentine’s Day early with a three-day programme of special events, last weekend.

Friday evening combined Portuguese culture with Afrikaans, bringing together an eclectic hall of party-goers. Entertainment featured Dewald Steyn, singing several of his own songs. The dance floor was filled with happy couples and hopeful singles having a merry time.

CASA’S PRESIDENT: Guida Henrique wants to bring people together with Casa da Madeira.

Saturday evening’s Valentine’s dinner was a very romantic evening, with dim lighting, delicious food and passionate music by Diana de Sousa, who entertained guests in true Portuguese style.

Sunday’s event was a relaxed, family-inclusive lunch and ended the weekend on a high note.

During these three days, the hall looked absolutely breathtaking with its red and white décor. Fabric was draped along the walls and ceiling and centre pieces featured twinkle-lights and roses.

ROMANTIC AMBIENCE: The hall was beautifully decorated and had the most romantic lighting.
