Jaywalking cows spotted in Verwoerdpark

This is a residential area, not an agricultural one. Imagine if someone gets into a serious accident because of this - which is quite likely.

TODAY (Wednesday, March 8) I saw a very strange thing – cattle walking around in the middle of a residential area.

I live in Verwoerdpark and as I was driving along, to my utter amazement, I saw loads of cattle wandering around, walking over the street and grazing on the piece of ground on the corner of Braun Street and Second Avenue and beyond.

Surely this is illegal and extremely dangerous?

This is a residential area, not an agricultural one. Imagine if someone gets into a serious accident because of this – which is quite likely.

There wasn’t even a herder anywhere in sight. Please could someone clarify how this can be allowed?
