Residents want rubble removed

We have sent numerous messages to the municipality since March and have had no response.

We, as residents of General Alberts Park, would like to know who is responsible for cleaning up heaps of soil and rubble all along Wilger Avenue, starting at the corner of Lincoln Road.

Contractors who tarred Lincoln Road never returned to clear the rubble.

DUMPED AND LEFT: Residents feel strongly that the rubble should have been removed.

We have sent numerous messages to the municipality since March and have had no response.

This used to be a flat, grass-covered area where our children played.

The newspaper now seems to be our only other option to maybe make ourselves heard.

The RECORD contacted the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality for comment, and is awaiting feedback.
