Southcrest’s Neigbourhood Watch hosts their annual Spring Walk
The walk was followed by a treasure hunt to keep the kids entertained and food and drinks were available along with various stalls.
THE Southcrest Neighbourhood Watch recently held their third annual Spring Walk Day.
On September 23 community members took part in the walk which was started as an initiative to get the community to get to know one another.
The walk was followed by a treasure hunt to keep the kids entertained and food and drinks were available along with various stalls.
There has been a lot of interest in the walk and this year they decided to go a little bigger, inviting all the local security companies and local businesses to attend as well. “We have had an overwhelming response from them. Security companies attended to meet their clients face to face and local businesses marketed their products and services. In conjunction with Alberton Trauma, The Pink Ladies also took part, profiling children to quicken the response times if anything should happen to them,” said organiser and chairperson for the Southcrest Neighbourhood Watch, Ricky Mans.
