This week sees the release of new highly anticipated movies at Nu Metro The Glen.
THE latest superhero blockbuster, Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, starts showing in the big screen, big sound Xtreme cinema at Nu Metro The Glen this week – along with a spine-tingling horror and animated comedy for families to enjoy.
Thor: Ragnarok
The third in the Thor series of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies sees Thor imprisoned without his mighty hammer. He finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok, the destruction of his home world and the end of Asgardian civilisation at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger, the Incredible Hulk! Both Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo reprise their roles as Thor and The Incredible Hulk from the Avengers movies – with this being Hulk’s first-ever appearance in a standalone Thor movie. Tom Hiddleston also returns as Loki – along with the other leading roles filled by series regulars Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum and Sir Anthony Hopkins. Thor: Ragnarok promises to be a spectacular action-adventure, dedicated to all the fans standing in line to witness the return of their popular superhero.
The Jungle Bunch (PG V)
Maurice may look like a penguin, but he’s a real tiger inside! Raised by a tigress, he’s the clumsiest kung-fu master ever. Along with his friends, The Jungle Bunch, he intends to maintain order and justice in the jungle, as his mother did before him. But Igor, an evil koala, wants to destroy the jungle once and for all – helped by his army of silly baboons. The Jungle Bunch is an animated comedy-adventure in 3D for the whole family.
Jigsaw (18 HLV)
Jigsaw is the latest film continuing the story told by the Saw series of horror movies. Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade. This one is not for the faint-hearted.
