Caravan rallies in nature
South Rand Region Rallies, which are simply a gathering of caravan club members who enjoy the nature.

THE South Rand Region Rallies, which are simply a gathering of caravan club members who enjoy the nature and camping to the fullest, present an ideal opportunity for meeting people and making new friends and for learning a whole lot more about camping.
The South Rand Region usually arrange a communal braai on the Saturday evening where all members supply their own meat, salads and more. They get together for a chat or perhaps a game of Bingo or something similar. Occasionally, a dance is organised or a cheese and wine function to celebrate a special occasion, or the purchase of a new caravan.
On Saturdays the club has a newcomer’s tea where all the visitors meet the committee and the chairman discuss and explain the region’s activities.
On Sunday mornings the club has a chairman’s tea which is a gathering where the weekend’s achievements are announced. Usually, at this gathering, special discs for certain milestones are presented.
The one thing that the region would like to emphasise is that nobody must feel obligated to take part in any of the organised activities. The region simply wants everybody to enjoy themselves and share the company of the members and to have an enjoyable rally.
The South Rand Region is not an elite region just for caravaners. The rallies are open to campers with tents, bush trailers and rooftop tents.
The next rally is the last rally of the year and will take place on the weekend of December 1, 2 and 3. The theme for the rally is “Christmas at the sea” and it promises to be a lot of fun.
The South Rand Region extends their invitation to each and every one to join them at their next rally to be held at Soetdoring Holiday Resort in Lenteland, Vereeniging. The venue offers a warm water pool, a game reserve and a 4 X 4 track.
