Reading ladies honoured for their contribution

In acknowledgment of their support, Stepping Stone Hospice has named their Family Room after the Reading Ladies Golf Section.

THE Reading Ladies Golf Section has supported Stepping Stone Hospice consistently for the past three years through various events – including their annual Charity Golf Day, which is held primarily to raise funds for the hospice.

A group of the lady golfers also cycled for Stepping Stone Hospice in the recent Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge, which helped to secure even more funds for the organisation.

In acknowledgment of their support, Stepping Stone Hospice has named the Family Room in their In-Patient Unit in New Market Park after the Reading Ladies Golf Section.

Tersia Burger, CEO of Stepping Stone Hospice spoke at the unveiling on November 24: “You girls are an incredible group of human beings. Your optimism and enthusiasm are such an inspiration to us all and we cannot thank you enough for your total dedication,” she said.
