Telkom’s terrible service

What is the point of paying your ridiculous accounts when nothing is being done to give us a service?

It’s with disgust and disappointment that we write this letter.

With a promise of a discount on a five-year contract, we were conned into accepting rubbish and outdated equipment. The bad service continues.

Note that this bad service (or no service) has been happening since March 2013, so for close to five years we have been paying for a non-existent service.

In the beginning we were even charged for the message service that never existed and after three years we were told there never was a message card in the control box.

We had another similar instance whereby the backup battery we paid for was never even installed.

We had two small refunds which, after paying for five years for the absolute rubbish switchboard and instruments, was a small effort at compensation.

In all this time we have begged, threatened, pleaded, paid blood money and still we have gotten nowhere with Telkom.

We virtually have no telephone connections and the two “working” lines crackle so badly that you cannot hear anything on it.

There remains little to be said about this disastrous and disgusting contract other than that Telkom is obviously waiting for the contract to run out. Then they will be free and clear.

What is the point of paying your ridiculous accounts when nothing is being done to give us a service?

Are you not ashamed to charge for a non-existent service and then still have the nerve to cut the only “working” lines we have?

Telkom are disgusting thieves, who steal money for no service what so ever.

If there is any one at Telkom who cares about your business ethics, please call us.

Unhappy client

The RECORD e-mailed Telkom to request comment, but they have not responded to our request.
