Your help and care carried us

More people should be made aware of this haven of support, love and caring, in our midst.

Our mother, Jeanne Stewart, passed away at Stepping Stone Hospice on November 28, 2017, after an illness bravely borne.

We express our heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding care, love, compassion and support given by Stepping Stone hospice staffers – from the nurses, the counsellors and admin staff – not only to our mother but to family and friends – you helped us through an extremely difficult and sad period – priceless.

We would never have been able to give the care required during our mother’s final stages of illness that she received from hospice. Before her last stay, she enjoyed the weekly home visits from Sr Tina and Sr Margie. Thank you, Sr Sheryl and the support staff for your unwavering patience and understanding – when we were perhaps impatient and emotional. Thank you to the grounds people who tend the gardens – where we spent many an hour in tranquillity. A special thank you Dr Sylvia Rodrigues.

More people should be made aware of this haven of support, love and caring, in our midst.
