Alrode licensing department woes continue

"You ask for a manager and they tell you the manager is not there."

The Alberton Licensing Department in Alrode is truly a disgrace and nobody seems to care, there is just no accountability, it’s shocking.

I brought my son here today (January 29) to get his learner’s licence and we were here from 8am right through to the late afternoon.

There is just one person doing eye tests and the other people don’t seem to be doing much of anything, and even if they were doing their jobs as they are paid to, there still wouldn’t be enough of them to take care of all these people.

You ask for a manager and they tell you the manager is not there.

I recently read something similar in the Alberton RECORD. How can you not have a manager there? Ever? Another example of how most of these people are hired and make massive salaries, but don’t even work a day in their lives. It’s disgusting. No wonder our economy and the country as a whole is in the dumps.

You bring these issues to the authorities’ attention, but it’s a waste of time and effort because nothing ever happens. I guess it stands to reason, because these so-called authorities are just as useless and have no interest in doing any work or seeing to it that others do theirs.

Annoyed resident

The RECORD has reported on these issues several times and has neither received a reply to requests for comment on the previous complaints, nor on this one as yet.
