Great final day for Business Bowls League

The annual Business Bowls League came to a close with a stunning last day of competition.

Alberton Bowling Club’s annual Business Bowls League came to a close with a stunning last day of competition.

The Business Bowls League has been running for four weeks and the final day was on February 28. The deciding games were played on the day followed by a dinner and prize-giving

With the top teams seeking to finish the tournament on a high, the last day of competition was fierce. With just four points in it, the top two teams, Packers and Raceview Motors, took to the mat to play for all the marbles. The game remained close and the position of top team wasn’t decided right until the end.

In the end Packers managed to defend their position at the top of the log and lay claim to the trophy.

“It was a great success,” says Renee Venter, the organiser of the Business League. “All teams involved enjoyed every moment of our weekly league nights. The club would like to thank everyone for their support and making this league something to look forward to.”
