EPIC Foundation in dire need of office space
The EPIC Foundation has still not been able to find premises to work from.

It is becoming really critical that we find something soon. The space we had on a rent free basis at Alberton City Mall, was unfortunately rented out after we were there for only two months and the alternatives they offered were not suitable.
For those unfamiliar with the foundation – we supply bags with clean clothing and toiletries to victims of rape (male and female, adults and children).
November is normally our biggest packing month for comfort bags. Sadly the Festive Season also comes along with an increase in the number of rape and other crimes. We normally double supply the trauma centres prior to December.
Please could I ask that you all help us put feelers out to see if anyone can assist us with space. We have our application for our 18(A) certificate in with the Receiver of Revenue (for a few months now, which I believe is normal). Our lawyers at Webber Wentzel has been calling regularly to follow up on our application. Once we have this in place, whoever offers us space can also be issued with the 18(A) to claim the rental amount back from tax.
Our requirement is unfortunately a big one: We need approximately 100 square metres. This is enough space for the content items, empty bags, packing space, space for packed comfort bags to be placed for distribution (between 150 to 200 a week), space for basic computer training (and other training sessions for shelter ladies) to fit 10 desks and PC’s and space for several rails with dresses for the Fairy Godmother project.
All our furniture etc is currently in storage. I have been packing from my home which is a complete disaster zone at the moment. It is critical that we get set up and running as quickly as possible. Please do help us look out for a space.
