A Square Forklift celebrate their 20th birthday
It was quite the guest list with over 350 people filling up the venue.
A SQUARE Forklift celebrated their 20th birthday at Gold Reef City’s Barnyard Theatre earlier this month and it sure was a big bash!
The party was generous and welcoming and guests were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was an open bar, courtesy of the company. The best part of the evening was seeing the Parlotones who performed live!
It was quite the guest list with over 350 people filling up the venue. Everyone received a warm welcome at the entrance and waiters provided people with all the refreshments they desired.

Guests were welcomed from 4.30pm for 5 pm, but the party only started at 7pm. That’s when JP Quickelberge (in charge of A Square Forklift Western Cape) introduced himself as the master of ceremonies for the evening.
He introduced the company’s partners and gave thanks to everyone who helped the company reach its current success. After the introduction, he invited all guests to help themselves to the delicious buffet outside the venue.
Later that evening, the Parlotones gave a wonderful, satisfying performance – it really breathed new life into the party. To make the evening even better, free sponsored prizes were given to some of the guests.

These prizes included top quality wine and even an electric walk behind forklift valued at R40 000.
A quick history of the company:
A Square Forklift was founded in 1998 when owner Craig Bradford saw the need for a forklift rental service in Alberton and Johannesburg South.
At the time, Craig was working with his father, Glenn Bradford, at his B Square Projects construction company when they saw the opportunity for diversification into the forklift rental business. B Square was founded in 1980 but is no longer operating.

The new forklift company was named A Square Forklift. The company started with only two staff members but has seen massive growth over the past 20 years. Now there are 58 staff members at their main branch. Two additional branches were opened – one in Cape Town and one in Durban.
“We have walked a long road with Alberton,” said Craig. “We will continue with our work here and help ensure more growth.”
