Allianz kicks off search for young footballer

AGCS Africa is searching for young football talent.

ALLIANZ Global Corporate Specialty (AGCS) Africa is searching for young football talent to represent South Africa at the Allianz Junior Football Camp (AJFC) 2018 in Munich, Germany, from August 27 to 31.

Hosted by Allianz and FC Bayern, AJFC offers up to 70 teenagers from 26 nations between the ages of 14 and 16 a chance to meet FC Bayern stars, be trained by youth coaches and participate in innovative and digital activities beyond football in a packed five-day programme.

This year, the camp will be aligned with the Allianz Global Explorer Programme and will look into topics of particular interest for digital natives in the technology space around the future of health, mobility and connected living with the aim to better understand participants’ needs, aspirations and lifestyle choices.

Thusang Mahlangu, CEO of AGCS Africa, said, “As Allianz, we are dedicated to encouraging our customers and future generations to dare to fulfil their dreams. So, we are thrilled to afford talented young footballers an opportunity to be part of this adventure and to help them fulfil their dreams and goals.”

An independent jury consisting of football legend Maimane Phiri, an Allianz representative and an independent legal expert will select three players and decide on the ultimate winner.
