IN its third year running, this annual event promises to be a spectacular gathering for arts and craft lovers, as well as food and wine connoisseurs.

The 2018 Ekurhuleni Arts and Wine Festival is returning to the gardens of Protea Hotel by Marriott, OR Tambo on September 7 and 8. Launched in 2016 as the Wine and Whiskey Classic now renamed Arts and Wine Festival, the two-day spectacular attracts more than a thousand visitors.

This year’s festival promises to be nothing short of amazing with a new twist giving local residents an opportunity to showcase and sell their amazing work, from beaded work to art.

“Over the years we have always been about giving the youth of Ekurhuleni employment opportunities. This year we have opened up the platform for creatives by setting up stalls with the assistance of the City of Ekurhuleni for them to sell their products,” said Tshepang Lutshaba, CEO of Asakhe Events.
