Verwoerdpark resident – ‘Our bins being left in the street’

"Is it really too much trouble to just put each bin on the sidewalk of the house it belongs to?"

I live in Noord Street, Verwoerdpark, and I see it’s becoming a trend that the municipality’s rubbish collectors leave everyone’s empty bins outside on the road, where cars are supposed to move.

Is it really too much trouble to just put each bin on the sidewalk of the house it belongs to? How are cars supposed to move when the bins are placed in a big collection in the middle of the street?

This is so ridiculous. I am a firm believer that if one does a job, one does it right. If it’s too much trouble, rather quit the job and let someone who is more grateful to have a job in these hard times, do it with dedication.

LAZY JOB: The bins are not at their designated houses – some have even fallen over.

Come December and these collectors demand their “Christmas box”, they’ll have to leave empty-handed, because leaving the bins out in the street tells me that they don’t really care about us. So why should we care about them?
