Thank you for the article in the newspaper about the sewage problem in the channel. It certainly had some impact.
I had someone from Ekurhuleni Municipality here this morning. They traced the source of the problem to Meyersdal where there was a burst pipe. They fixed it on July 11. It seems as if they flushed the channel, as all the greyish stuff that was lying at the bottom of the channel has been washed away and it is now only clear water running in the channel.
There is currently also no disgusting smell. Hallelujah!
I will monitor the situation and if the problem comes back I will let you know.
