ALBERTON – Dowayne met Daddy Mpiga in a middleweight clash at the “Boxing Explosion” tournament at Carnival City and proved to be far too strong for his opponent.

Dowayne forced a stoppage one minute eighteen seconds in the first round against a boxer who was definitely not in his stronger class and ended his boxing year just as he started it … on a winning note.
