Wheelchair Marathon and Spirit Games for people with disabilities against able-bodied people

The local business sector, community and families of people living with a disability are invited to take part in this physical awareness campaign on September 5 at Vosloorus Stadium.

IT is time for able-bodied people to gather the wheels and enter the Wheelchair Marathon and Spirit Games.

Wheels of Change is a non-profit organisation established on November 19, 2016, with the aim of up-skilling people with disabilities, in skills development, advocacy, support groups, job placements, business registration, home-based care, events and campaigns. They need your assistance to host the casual day, Wheelchair Marathon and Spirit Games, for people with disabilities against able-bodied people.

The local business sector, community and families of people living with a disability are invited to take part in this physical awareness campaign on September 5 at Vosloorus Stadium. Partners and sponsors are allowed to send at least five people to participate in the race, put up branding and be on the programme for the day.

Wheels of Change is appealing to the community for assistance with:

• One-hundred T-shirts branded for the event with the organisation’s and sponsor/partner’s logo.

• Six prizes to give away for the wheelchair marathon race for the first, second and third place winners on both manual and power chair races.
