Advice for young people

Albertonians share their advice for young people.

THE RECORD/COURIER took the streets to ask older people what their advice for young people would be. We share their advice.

EVELYN MOTOUNG: “Go to school and then university. Education is the most important thing.”
EMANUEL OMUELE: “Believe in God. If you walk with Him, you will stop doing wrong things like drugs and murder.”
STAFIE PELSER: “Do not rush into marriage. Pray for the right person and ask advice from role models.”
PETRO PELSER: “My advice will be to pray for the right partner in life. Those who pray together, stay together.”
ALIE VAN DER WESTHUIZEN: “Just have faith my children. Always believe in yourself and in God. Always be humble and kind.”
JOHNNY COOPER: “Focus on your career. This will help you avoid distractions that could get you into trouble.”
HENRIETTE PRETORIUS: “Live your life to the fullest, be kind to others and walk the path of life with the Lord.”
HELENE SCHOOMBIE: “Love can change the world. Make sure that you show your friends and family that they are loved and cared for.”
