Local businesses support golf day

Made in SA Boet's golf day took place on October 12.

MADE in SA Boet’s fifth annual golf day was hosted by Polyhammer on October 12 at the Reading Country Club.

Dean Fegen, a business owner in Alrode, started the initiative Made in SA Boet, which is aimed at promoting local business, networking and keeping resources within Alberton and South Africa.

“We want to educate people with the abilities we have and to get together and trade advice or business ideas. It is also just a day to break away from work and have fun,” said organiser Samantha Fegen.

There were about 168 golfers on the day, and business representatives got the chance to stand at a hole and interact with golfers.

Diana Louw from Uniprop Real Estate said the golf day is a great way to meet new people and socialise.

Dean and Samantha thanked everyone who was involved in making it another successful golf day.
