Companies reject us at 65

A lot of pensioners must work due to the economic climate.

I am a 65-year-old male that has been forced to retire (end of contract) at 65. Why is it that companies force retirement?

After working for a company for 22 years and still being healthy, I have been applying for work through agencies. I am sure the agency doesn’t even put your application forward.

What a disgusting world we live in because we are 65 and are therefore treated as a reject. At the present moment, a lot of pensioners must work due to the economic climate.

I have even applied for junior positions with the mindset that I want to keep my mind and knowledge active. I remember many years ago being told that above 40 I am unemployable, is this the state we need to be in?
