A wonderful beer celebration

There was a wide variety of craft beers to tantalize the taste buds.

CRAFT beer connoisseurs from all over Gauteng descended on Emperors Palace’s Red Roman Shed for the Republic of Beer event, a beer celebration for the ages.

There was a wide variety of craft beers to tantalise the taste buds, as well as a number of food trucks that served up delicious food. Those who didn’t feel like beer could try cocktails like strawberry mojitos, long island ice teas, pink strawberry gin and tonics, cucumber gin and tonics and margaritas served on tap.

Among the beer buffs who got “draughted” on Saturday afternoon were Alberton residents Zac de Beer, Berinda de Beer, Luné Joubert and Jonathan Müller.
