Golden Oldies festival final in support of Abraham Kriel

Entry fee is R20 per vehicle or R5 per person for the whole day.

On December 1 the final Golden Oldies festival of the year will be held at Hoërskool Die Burger. It promises to be an awesome event with all proceeds going to the Abraham Kriel Bambanani Children’s Home.

There will be a lot of fun to be had by all so if you have never attended a festival, do yourself a favour and attend.

There will be no fewer than 16 teams in action with the first game at 9am in the morning between the Western Lions and the Diggers DOBS. The final game will be the match between a Gauteng Barbarians 10s team and an Invitational Barbarians 10s team.

There will be an entry fee of R20 per vehicle or R5 per person on the day. Refreshments of every description will be on sale. No cooler boxes allowed or else a fine will be charged (that will go straight to the charity). These festivals are all about the camaraderie, and this festival the madalas decided to play with facial hair, which has been shaved on one side. There is sure to be lots of other fun surprises, for example, a team playing in Tutus. Please consider supporting the home by going onto the website https://abrahamkriel.org/th_event/golden-oldies-rugby-charity-festival/

You can donate online for a host of initiatives such as sponsoring a Christmas lunch for a child or even just donating any amount. A truly worthy cause as many of these children only have the bare necessities. There is a wish list for individual children and it includes things that you and I take for granted such as toiletries and clothes. Credit card facilities will be available on the day.

You can make a difference. Remember, if you make a difference in only one child’s life you have made a difference.
