Assist Juan to attend karate world championship

Juan has been selected for the Saska development team.

JUAN Craig Crous (10) from Alberton has already shown his mettle at the Cobras Karate Club.

Juan, who started practising karate in 2017, has excelled. In the short time he has been taking part in karate he has already progressed to blue belt level.

Juan took part in the South African Shotokan Karate Academy (Saska) trials on October 6 to qualify for the World Union of Karate-Do Federation World Championship in 2019. The world championship will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia, from June 20 to June 23. At the trials, Juan was chosen to be a part of the Saska development team that will be taking part in the world championship.

Juan’s parents, Craig and Yolandi Crous, are extremely proud of their son’s achievements. They have asked the community of Alberton if it would be possible for them to support the talents and dreams of their son to make the trip to Bratislava a reality.
