The Bag Lady

A great idea is a magazine subscription.

Five days to Christmas … and counting!

And this week we take a look at gifts for the “more mature set”. I think as one becomes older you appreciate the presence of family and friends more than presents.

If you have elderly parents, relatives or friends, rally around at Christmas time and make them feel special. Invite them over for tea and cake, or make them a meal. Bake some biscuits, even make up a small hamper with a few luxury eats they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves. Little things can mean so much.

A great idea is a magazine subscription. Caxton has some great ones to choose from, both for men and women. Then every month they’ll receive a gift.

Another good idea is movie tickets or theatre tickets with an added extra of treating them to dinner before or after the show.

A weekend away with the family will be a real treat and it’s something to look forward to and plan together. Many retired people don’t always have the money to go away so a few days being spoilt will really be the icing on the cake.

Festive wishes

And now all that’s left, is to wish you all a fantastic festive season. If you are travelling be safe and for those of you who are “holidaying” at home, enjoy!

That’s it for now. Shop till you drop!
