WATCH: Residents of the Alberton Home for the Aged celebrates Valentine’s Day
An Alberton-based law firm, Theart Mey Attorneys, took a day to celebrate Valentine's with members of the Alberton old age home.
RESIDENTS of the Alberton Home for the Aged were all smiles when they received a special Valentine’s treat on February 14.
Theart Mey Attorneys paid them a visit and handed out gift hampers to the elderly to celebrate the day of love.
The law firm has served the Alberton community for almost 30 years and with this gesture of love and appreciation, they wanted to give back to Albertonians.
Staff at the firm spend some time chatting to the elderly and frail. Although this visit was the first of its kind. They hope to do more of these outreach programmes in future.
Director at the firm, Dawid Basson, said that the community is very important to them as a company.
“We are honoured to be spending time with the residents of Alberton Home for the Aged. Being Valentine’s Day we tried to spread some love by visiting the home,” said Basson.
A member at the home, Caromi Meyer (83), extended her gratitude to the law firm.
“Today I felt wonderful and appreciated this event and it means a lot to us when people take some time off to come and visit us,” said Caromi.

Salomi Niemann, manager at the old age home thanked the law firm for celebrating Valentine’s Day with them as a home.
“We are grateful for this visit and hope that they will continue to do great things,” said Salomi.
