DC Comics’ new superhero blockbuster starts showing in Nu Metro cinemas nationwide this week. Shazam! is also the new release in Nu Metro The Glen’s “Massive Screen, Big Sound” Xtreme theatre.
Or, catch the new home-grown romantic comedy Love Lives Here featuring A-listers Thando Thabethe, Lungile Radu and Andile Gumbi in the lead. This April, Girls’ Night Out at Nu Metro The Glen brings you Little – a comedy about a grown woman whose body is taken over by her 13-year-old self. Ladies, book now for GNO and be the first in South Africa to enjoy this brand new laugh out loud comedy on 11 April.
Shazam! (10-12PG HLV)
In Billy Batson’s case, by shouting out one word – “SHAZAM!” – this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult superhero, Shazam, courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a child at heart, inside of a ripped, godlike body, Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But, he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr Thaddeus Sivana.
