THE sports teams from Hoërskool Dinamika have rounded off preparations for the huge Derby clash to be played on June 11 at Dinamika.
The star team from Namies is the u-15A team, coached by Chris Sutton. As u-14’s they won the Golden Lions title against Allies and seem to have gone from strength to strength under Sutton’s guidance. The clash against Allies will be their first meeting since that final.
Dinamika u-15A are bringing a rich vein of form. On April 8 Dinamika hosted Vereeniging Gym at home and truly overshadowed their opponents beating them 59-0 when the game was stopped at the beginning of the second half.
On April 13 Jan Viljoen also met them at home but they proved a much sterner test and the homeside had to work very hard for their tries. They none the less ran out 52-17 victors.
This was followed by the Super Group final which was played at Die Wilgers in Pretoria on April 27. They played a very spirited side in the form of Ligbron. They scored early in the game and never looked back. They won 30-7 after leading 22-0 at the break.
The first game in the Golden Lion League was Dinamika against Bastion. This game was played at Bastion on May 4 and promised to be tough as the Big Schools League is very competitive.
The u-15 side again proved that they are ready to defend their title and have no intention to not take the league this year again. They were just too strong for the opposition coming out winners by 64-0 after leading 31-0 at half-time.
