CPF hosted a Boerie Day as a fund-raising initiative on May 25.

ALBERTON CPF hosted a Boerie Day as a fund-raising initiative on May 25.

Boerewors and prego rolls and cooldrinks were sold from 8am to 3pm on the corner of Braun Road and Second Avenue in Verwoerdpark. Residents had the chance to meet some of their local police officers, CPF members, officers from security companies and paramedics from local ambulance services. There was something to do for young and old.

“This was all to support the Alberton CPF to raise funds for combating crime in our town and we want to say thank you to all our sponsors and the community members who supported us on the day. Just like the other fund-raisers, this one was a success,” said Pieter Schreiber, chairperson of Alberton CPF.
