Long-awaited upgrade of boulevard

One of the pedestrians who came to my aid and assisted me up on my feet mentioned that he also fell there a few months earlier.

In response to the request of “Bruised Ego” in last leek’s Alberton Record dated, June 5:

I am almost 70 years old and last year I tripped over uneven paving and fell headlong near ABSA Bank in the Alberton Boulevard.

My glasses went flying off my head and until today I look through them with an irritating scratch on the right lens sustained through that fall.

I also sustained other injuries especially to both the palms of my hands, which bled from abrasions to the skin on the paving in my attempt to break the fall.

One of the pedestrians who came to my aid and assisted me up on my feet mentioned that he also fell there a few months earlier.
