It was truly great to see the people giving their time to the less fortunate on Mandela Day.
I’m sure that us as Albertonians and South Africans would have made the Great Man proud with our efforts to help support our communities.
Every heart touched on the day made a difference and just 67 minutes makes a difference that would be felt for many weeks to come.
I would think that 67 minutes once a year is not enough.
The little bit helps, but a year has 525 893 other minutes that the people in need still need help.
We should make it our prerogative to set time aside every day to help others.
Even if it is just something once a week, it will already make a world of difference.
Here’s hoping together we can carry a culture of giving and charity forwards.
