GALLERY: Young rugby players compete in one of the country’s largest rugby fields

The juniors from Alberton Rugby club took part among the 31 teams on Emirates Airline Park.

U-8 and u-7 rugby players from Alberton Rugby Club took to the grass of Emirates Airline Park on August 18 to take part in a day of rugby hosted by the Golden Lions Rugby Union Youth Rugby.

The Alberton team, which formed part of the 31 teams from all over the Golden Lions Rugby area, took part in 10-minute games. The games were played on reduced size fields, and were played one-way.

For the juniors, not only was this an opportunity to enjoy a day of good rugby, but also do so on one of the largest rugby fields in South Africa. Four teams from Alberton took part on the day.
