It’s time for the Henley WAM Festival

Diarise the Henley Wine Art and Music Festival - it sure is not to be missed.

CALLING all wine, art and music lovers – whether you’re a connoisseur or simply like to share good times with friends, this is not to be missed.

The Henley Wine, Arts and Music (WAM) Festival returns on the weekend of September 7 and 8 in the quaint village of Henley on Klip, a mere 30km drive from Johannesburg South.

Festivities kick off on Saturday morning with wine tasting and art exhibitions at various venues in and around Henley on Klip. Both art on display and wine available for tasting will be for sale.

Saturday night will feature another spectacular concert with WR Jazz and Rock Orchestra performing music ranging from popular film and television themes, musicals, pop and rock hits and even gaming music.

JazzKLLR will join the orchestra for a few numbers and the girls from Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy will also perform.

Sunday will feature a fun pet walk and classic car exhibition with more wine and art available at all the venues.

Tickets for wine tasting and arts can be purchased for events at the following venues: Molly’s Speakeasy Village Restaurant, 1904 The Original Henley, The Hound, Twisted Realm, Ducks, About Time Coffe Shop, Montagues, The Wind Mill and The Merchant Hotel. Cost is R120 per person and the concert tickets are available at R150 per person.

The WAM Festival is a fund-raiser for the Lions and Rotary clubs in Henley.
