2 Frances Vorwerg School will be hosting a Christmas Market on November 2. Members of the public are invited to support the event which promises to be fun and exciting. On the day, there will be a variety of food stalls, tea garden, children’s garden entertainment, Father Christmas at noon, archery and colour run. The event will take place at Frances Vorwerg, 370 Rifle Range Road, Haddon, starting time 9am to 4pm.

2 Stamp collectors meet again on November 2. They meet every first Saturday of the month from 1.30pm at the community hall in the Thornhill Retirement Estate (close to Greenstone Shopping Mall). They cater for the absolute novice right through to the more senior philatelists. They do exhibits, have trading and swapping, an auction and discuss matters of interest. It has 35 interesting stalls including gourmet coffee, craft beer and gin, fine wines, cocktails, exotic multicultural food, live music, local fashion and art, this urban attraction is most definitely the best hangout on the first Sunday of every month. The Jozi Urban Market is situated on the fifth floor covered car park rooftop of Gold Reef Casino, which offers a spectacular view of Johannesburg. The market runs from 10am to 3pm giving you ample time to catch a meal, relax while sipping a craft gin or beer in the chill area, listen to soft live jazz or have family fun in the free Seeff Nerf Battle Zone. 7 Stepping Stone Hospice’s fund-raising golf day will be hosted at Eye of Africa Golf Estate in Eikenhof, home to an exclusively designed Greg Norman championship golf course. At R900 per player, which includes green fees, share of a golf cart, R50 halfway house voucher and the prize-giving dinner, they can guarantee a fun-filled, “value-for money” day.
