Ethan Ramsaru is indeed a true inspiration for all of us as residents.
Having read the story about Ethan in the Alberton RECORD of February 19, I was inspired by the work he is doing.
I am thrilled to hear that Ethan, a 13-year-old young man, has found it in his hard to be part of such a great initiative.
His involvement in lending a hand to TEARS Foundation should be an inspiration to all of us.
As the councillor of the area, I feel extremely proud that one of the residents in the community is touching the world in a great way at an early age.
His act of kindness is the reason we can believe in hope in the world.
While I recognise that a plea has been made to the public to contribute to the work Ethan is involved in, I would like to echo the plea.
I would like to encourage that all residents find it in their hearts to join Ethan in lending a helping hand to a worthy cause.
Not only am I appealing to the residents to assist Ethan, I will be the first one to raise a hand and throw my support into the initiative.
It is initiatives such as these that remind me that our humanity is what makes us stronger and better.
No woman should ever be a victim of rape, and it must be up to us to help care for those who are victims already and take a stance against the horrible act women are subjected to frequently.
Let us all follow the example of Ethan and lend a hand to organisations that make a difference in people’s lives.
