Ligstad says thank you

Older persons living independently in the community are where Ligstad can focus during the time of lockdown.

Although the normal continuance of Ligstad’s services by means of our playgroup and aftercare is also affected by the national lockdown, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we continue to serve the most vulnerable in the community.

We also noted that most of the helping organisations and churches are doing the same and we, therefore, would like to say thank you to all our colleagues and partners serving the community of Alberton so diligently in these trying times.

We are aware that funds are even more scarce than usual to render much-needed services and we salute you for utilising what is available for the benefit of the most vulnerable.

Thank you also to each member of the community who generously shares their resources. Without you we won’t be able to continue.

Should you know of an older person who needs assistance in this time or you are the older person who needs assistance in this time, you are welcome to contact me at 079 693 3666 or on email at alida.jooste@ligstad.co.za in order for us to evaluate how you can be assisted within the parameters set by the lockdown.
